Nissan will sell cars in MS Dynamics

Microsoft and Nissans concluded strategic partnership which assumes use of several solutions of the company for sales management.

On December 12, 2011 Microsoft and Nissans announced strategic partnership. According to the agreement, Microsoft will create a management system for relationship with dealers for the Japanese producer of a car. The companies stated that the software of Microsoft Dynamics CRM will be its basis.

Based on this platform tools will be developed for strengthening of the relations of Nissan with clients, increase in sales and increase in a share of the company in the world market. A system will work at a cloud platform of Windows Azure from Microsoft.

Said Nissan that a new system first of all will be developed in dealer network of the company in the territory of Japan and "in other strategic regions of the world". The companies did not announce details neither terms of the beginning of system implementation, nor foreign markets where implementation is planned.

The parties also expressed the need to study interaction of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Windows Azure as the platform of deployment of applications on the global area network of car maker and need of standardization of his information architecture for "cloud".

Besides, Microsoft, as well as Nissan, actively is engaged in developments in the field of use of mobile technologies in cars. Microsoft considers cars third "device" after mobile phones and tablets in terms of perspectives of information technology development. Since 2007 the company cooperated with Ford Motor in development process of the information and entertaining Sync system for vehicles of the American car maker.

According to the chief executive of the company Carlos Ghosn in June, 2011, Nissan aims to improve a customer loyalty and efficiency of the dealers within the six-year development plan under the name "Power 88".

The competitor of Nissan, Toyota, and Microsoft in April, 2011 announced creation of strategic alliance for development of the new communication framework for vehicles which is also based on Microsoft Windows Azure.

Now the companies develop private social network "Friend of Toyota" (Toyota Friend) which will move ahead since 2012, in Japan in the beginning – on electric and hybrid vehicles of Toyota company. Providing drivers with hints on service of cars or warnings of need of accumulator charging of a car is planned.
