SoftBalance Group and JSC IDGC of the Northwest completed the project on implementation of "1C: Payroll and HR Management 8". In a single system 380 users from eight divisions of the company work. The efficiency of the HR policy of the enterprise is increased.

JSC Interregional Distribution Grid Company of the Northwest works as uniform operating company since April 1, 2008. Seven branches – Arkhenergo, Vologdaenergo, Karelenergo, Kolenergo, Komienergo, Novgorodenergo, Pskovenergo and the executive office which is in St. Petersburg are its part. The company services the territory of 1.58 million sq.km with the population about 6.3 million human. Total number of employees in all branches – more than 15000 people.

Earlier in each branch separate programs for independent conducting personnel records and payroll calculation were used. Many programs did not conform to requirements of the legislation any more. There were no uniform principles of accounting in the company. All this did not allow to achieve transparency of accounting and to quickly obtain information necessary for control over the HR policy and data analysis in central office. For the solution of these problems the project on automation of payroll and personnel records on the general software platform was initiated. As the solution software "1C: Payroll and HR Management 8" was selected. The management of "IDGC of the Northwest" attentively approached selection of the company which will carry out the project on automation, for ensuring reliability of the choice competition on the work right was announced. The tender commission declared as his winner SoftBalance Group ‑ the most experienced of participants.

During implementation works on development of the uniform principles of conducting personnel records, payroll in all branches of the company taking into account the features work-related in northern regions of the country were done. Regulations are designed and approved:

  • on maintaining training plans of staff of the enterprise;
  • on registration and information storage about passing of medical examinations and psychological testing of employees;
  • on collecting of the consolidated statements.

Main project deliverables:

  • The efficiency of the HR policy of the company increased. Due to expansion of functionality of "1C: Payroll and HR Management 8" regarding automation of the developed regulations the possibility of the analysis of a talent pool of the enterprise appeared. The analysis of this information allowed to increase quality of training of personnel, to lower finance costs on the emergency search of employees and costs of time for adaptation of beginners.
  • The "1C: Payroll and HR Management 8" software product became for the management of "IDGC of the Northwest" of the tool for non-material motivation of personnel – he helps to estimate quickly and adequately opportunities, qualification and potential of career development of each employee.

All 15000 employees of the enterprise receive the salary in any type convenient to them in time (cash or on the card selected by the employee of the bank).

  • The efficiency of 380 specialists of HR department and clerks due to optimization of information input and automation of many routine transactions increased.
  • Flexible mechanisms "1C: Payroll and HR Management 8" allow to collect the necessary reporting in convenient for each user – the head, the HR specialist ‑ a type. Speed of preparation of reports increased repeatedly as there is now no need to collect and lead to the general format information from different information systems.
  • Differentiation of access rights prevents information leak. The data connected only with it are available to each branch. The staff of the central office given appropriate authority can see an overall picture.
