In vehicle fleet of JSC Admiralty Shipyards the monitoring system based on GLONASS is implemented. The solution "ERA-GLONASS" was implemented by GLONASS Northwest company.
Tasks
Motor transport of JSC Admiralty Shipyards performs different functions: delivery of materials, handling, construction works, passenger traffic of employees. To keep track of location of vehicles in real time and to control observance of work-rest schedules, the management of the enterprise made the decision on equipment of vehicle fleet by the system of satellite monitoring based on GLONASS.
Solution
At one of the leading ship-building enterprises of Russia Admiralty Shipyards the monitoring system and controls of transport on the basis of GLONASS technologies is implemented. The project is implemented by GLONASS Northwest company.
Vehicles of JSC Admiralty Shipyards are equipped with exchange GLX (GLONASS/GPS) M2M-Cyber telematic service stations. For remote control of movement of transport based on the enterprise the dispatching service is unrolled. Her operators during all working day monitor real location of the equipment and its actual loading.
Opinions and expectations
"Monitoring systems based on GLONASS provide the objective information about work of transport: routes of the movement, run, production loading. Today data application of technologies – the only and most effective instrument of quality improvement and speed of work of transport. System implementation of monitoring will allow to improve transport logistics and to optimize work of vehicle fleet of JSC Admiralty Shipyards", - the director of the company of GLONASS Northwest Artem Matyash emphasized the importance of the project.
"GLONASS equipment at our enterprise equips different types of special equipment and the freight vehicles which are mainly transporting heavy, dangerous and bulky goods. These categories of transport, according to requirements of the Russian legislation, should be equipped with the GLONASS or GLONASS/GPS equipment no later than January 1, 2013, - the chief of transport workshop JSC Admiralty Shipyards Vladimir Tishin reported, - we Hope that use of a system of satellite control will allow us not only to ensure safety of transportation of loads, but also to raise labor discipline of drivers, so to reduce terms of execution of works".
