The Softline company executed the project of virtualization of servers "GEFEST insurance joint-stock company.

Solution

Specialists of Softline company within several days executed the project of virtualization of servers "GEFEST insurance joint-stock company that allowed to increase reliability of a system and availability of IT services. Deployment of a pilot zone of the solution of virtualization on the basis of Microsoft Hyper-V and Microsoft System Center VMM 2008 R2 on the platform of the customer and also skills training of his specialists was a part of the project.

The customer's employees to the created cluster added one more server and migration of the virtual machine on it is made.

Creation of a cluster allowed to increase reliability of a system: if one of cluster nodes refuses, all virtual machines migrate on other node using the Live Migration function. Due to reduction of time of the planned and unplanned idle times of a system and runtime allocation of loadings availability of IT services increased. Due to reduction of quantity of the physical systems which are subject to maintenance operating costs of support of the equipment and also power supply and labor costs of administration decreased.
