IDGC of Centre transferred the resource management corporate information system (RMCIS) to a new data processing center

Specialists of JSC IDGC of Centre jointly with specialists of the company "I-Teco" and Fujitsu successfully completed the project on creation of a cloud service for operation of the resource management corporate information system (RMCIS) of JSC IDGC of Centre in data center TrustInfo.

The concept of automation of a resource management system was developed in JSC IDGC of Centre in 2006. It resolved many issues on unification of a management system, provided transparency of business for shareholders and superior organizations, increased efficiency of operational management by the company. KISUR affects all spheres of financial and economic and productive activity of the network companies – to distribution zone level inclusive. A system provides information support of business processes of the financial and economic, technical and personnel directions. Today specialists of the company can keep completely in a system financial and managerial account, prepare accounting records and also manage in a complex material flows.

To increase reliability and performance of work of an information system and also to considerably cut down current expenses for operation, in September, 2011 the management of IDGC of Centre made strategic decision on transfer of KISUR on the basis of SAP ERP in the new data processing center (DPC). The requirement of minimization of stops of KISUR for the period of data migration and input of a system in commercial operation became a key factor when carrying out the tender.

Specialists of JSC IDGC of Centre planned two stages of transfer of KISUR on the new platform. At the initial stage of the project the starting computer system identical to platforms of initial DPC was constructed. It also allowed to minimize time of a stop of systems and to ensure smooth operation of branches of the company. At the second stage the cloud service on the basis of Hi-end of the Fujitsu FlexFrame systems was deployed. Then cross-platform data migration of SAP was made unprecedented even on the international standards: 7 of 41 KISUR systems were transferred to essentially other hardware platform without stopping of settlement process with consumers of the electric power.

Reduction of response time of the KISUR systems, key for business of IDGC of Centre, several times, decrease in operating expenses on operation more than twice and the guaranteed stock of computing powers under future development of the enterprise became a project deliverable.
