SOSh No. 112 with profound studying of information science applies a productive cluster solution from IBM

The Konkord company completed the project of creation of information infrastructure for MAOU "SOSh No. 112 with Profound Studying of Information Science". The IBM System x server platform became a basis of the equipment of the integrated automated information system of new school.

Background

The agreement on execution of works and supply of equipment is signed between MAOU "SOSh No. 112 with Profound Studying of Information Science" of Novokuznetsk and Konkord LLC.

Compliance Federal state educational standards of new generation which cornerstone are the effective interconnected information and education environment of school with support of distance learning and network interaction of teachers, pupils, administration and parents and also the requirement for complex security of children in walls and in the territory of educational institution was one of the main tasks when forming the concept of new school. The solution of an assigned task is impossible without creation of the centralized IT infrastructure. The basis of a hardware platform for the IT system of school selected 5 IBM System x 3550 M3 servers united in a failover cluster.

Result

IT infrastructure of school is put in operation in September, 2011. On its basis the common information space of educational institution including a complex of electronic educational resources, remote support of educational process, a video surveillance system and access control, the effective system of informing parents on attendance and progress is created.
