BPC Bank Technologies, a provider of payment solutions for the global financial industry, announced the completion of the SmartVista family of products and the creation of a processing center at Bank of Baku. As noted, this is the second project of the BOC company in Azerbaijan.
Earlier, Bank of Baku used an outsourcing processing model that significantly limited the bank's ability to develop and implement competitive products and services. Currently, thanks to the multifunctional, flexible and scalable SmartVista solution, Bank of Baku has the opportunity to accelerate the launch of new products on the market, expand the range of services for its consumers and at the same time reduce operating costs, the BPC said.
The new platform allowed Bank of Baku to fully control its own payment business, quickly release new card products, effectively manage the ATM network and offer additional services to its customers. Bank of Baku also implemented SmartGuard, a fraud prevention solution that monitors 100% of transactions and counters fraudulent transactions.
As noted, Bank of Baku plans to increase the volume of card issues to 500 thousand over the next two years. With the help of the "BPC Bank Technologies," the bank's EMV certification took place in the shortest possible time: the release of its own smartcards was another step in the implementation of an internal strategy to prevent fraud in card transactions. Now Bank of Baku offers its customers the full range of card products from MasterCard and Visa.
The bank's development plans also involve an increase in the number of divisions, ATMs and round-the-clock information kiosks in Azerbaijan. To implement these plans, Bank of Baku has implemented a SmartATM solution that provides comprehensive management of the ATM network. These BPC Bank Technologies product allows you to receive real-time data on the operation of the entire ATM network, including the amount of cash in each device.
According to the head of the payment systems and information technology sector of Bank of Baku, Nahid Zeynalov, Bank of Baku's strategy is focused on comprehensive customer support.
