The Belgorod state university prepares start of the high-performance computer system

The T-Platforms company puts the high-performance computer system of the Belgorod state national research university (NIU "BELGU") into operation.

Objectives

The supercomputer will be used for modeling of processes of creation of nanomaterials, especially medical appointment (a problem of biocompatibility of implants, sten, etc.); modeling in medicine at the level of cellular processes, including bioinformation processes; researches of pharmacological processes when developing new medicines. Also computer system will be involved in processing of space pictures of Earth with the different frequency ranges for problems of decodifying of objects on its surface; analysis, synthesis and recognition of oral speech; creations within BELGU of Grid is systems with an exit to external computer means.

The basic researches directed to the solution of current scientific and technical and social and economic problems of society are performed based on the developed infrastructure of the university. It includes a row scientific and educational and the research and production centers equipped with the modern equipment for fruitful work of research teams, the centers of collective use and problem and scientific research laboratories. The Nezhegol supercomputer created by T-Platforms company will become a part of an infrastructure complex.

Today

The supercomputer of the Belgorod state national research university is constructed based on the T-Blade V-Class system – own development T-Platforms. Now the company completed supply of equipment, the computer system, necessary for creation. Also during implementation of this project experts of the company will provide training of staff of computer center of the university in specifics of work with the supercomputer.
