ASCATEL (AllforSCAlableTELematics) is a software platform and a set of industry standards of interaction designed to simplify development of navigation and telematic software and services. The ASCATEL platform allows developers to create easily the universal applications of the top level relying on independent infrastructure of transfer and storage of navigation data, and to producers of the telematic equipment ASCATEL allows to combine the devices with all range of the navigation software developed in its framework easily.
ASCATEL also includes the business community of developers allowing not only to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of creation and use of the navigation and telematic software, but also to sell the products created based on the platform. The system which is built in business community to - marketing allows participants to use marketing channels of each other, including a partner network of the company Omnicomm from 3000 companies in 75 countries of the world.
Important feature of ASCATEL is orientation to use in cloud and Saasservisakh expressed not only in a possibility of wide use of scalable IT infrastructure, but also in the business model providing payment by the client of actually used resources that allows to reduce the cost of ownership of a navigation and telematic system considerably.
According to founders of ASCATEL, the platform should change cardinally Russian and the European markets of transport telematics, first of all, due to growth of quality and the range of the navigation and telematic software at simultaneous decrease in its cost.

Change of naming of the project
Since November, 2012 the ASCATEL (AllforSCAlableTELematics) project will be called ASYMBIX announced Omnicomm on October 18, 2012.
ASYMBIX is the international infrastructure project consisting of a business environment for interaction of participants (Community) and technology base for creation and management of telematic solutions (software platform).
New logo of the project
The decision on change of the working name ASCATEL is made because during development the project underwent significant changes. The business environment will be added to wide functionality of a software platform and support system of developers. It will provide tool kit for business support. Will become available to project participants a system to - marketing (a package of measures for joint promotion), a market (products and services), the system of billing, resources of information center, analytical materials, a forum, recommendations and also an opportunity to undergo multistage training and to get support both on technical, and concerning marketing will be given.
"Our project will allow not only to simplify development of scalable telematic solutions and process of their adaptation for needs of each client, it will also promote M2M-business development in general", - Boris Pankov, the CEO of Omnicomm company emphasized.
The Omnicomm company attracted the leading international branding agency of Origin Brand Consultants (UK, USA) to development of a new name of the project.
The ASYMBIX project will integrate specialists of different areas. The platform will allow to develop applications with industry (transport, logistics, security, power, smart homes, insurance, medicine) and technology specialization.
The project (under the working name ASCATEL) was for the first time presented at the international exhibition of CEBIT-2012 electronics which passed in Hanover (Germany).
