The Microtest company completed the project on creation of IT infrastructure of transshipment facility of Tamanneftegaz.

Prerequisites

Construction of transshipment facility gas - and oil products in the port of Taman of Krasnodar Krai conduct Tamanneftegaz Ltd together with OTEKO Ltd.

Processes of transportation of oil products and gas assume accomplishment of high requirements to security, warning of the fires and explosions in this connection it was important to provide new transport industrial complex with IT infrastructure with the failsafe and reliable system of communications. Project tasks was complicated by the fact that the complex consists of a set of buildings and constructions – it was necessary to organize a reliable communication between all objects and to centralize all elements of infrastructure.

Solution

Specialists of Microtest company constructed a structured cabling system of buildings and constructions, the local computer network (LCN), systems departmental telephone, loud-speaking and radio-link communication, organized physical communications between objects.

For creation of a LAN the communication equipment (switches, modules, wireless bridges, routers, firewalls) Cisco Systems companies and media converters of production Allyed Telesys was used. They provided the protected, flexible data exchange. Besides, the LAN provides the centralized access to network resources of all users from any point of a system, allows to organize real-time operation and to use corporate applications: databases, e-mail, ACS, etc.

During creation of a system of telephone communication the equipment of Avaya company (the S8500 media server, media gateways of G650 and G350) was used. Radio-link communication of a complex of Tamanneftegaz is constructed on the equipment of Ericsson. "The last mile" of network has total length more than 60 km.
