The Far East branch of JSC "MegaFon", the second in value mobile operator in Russia, selected software solutions of HP for support of the subscribers in the Far East region. To support high-quality service of the subscriber base, the operator needed to optimize business processes and to guarantee a minimum of idle times — for this reason the company stopped the choice on HP Business Process Monitor (BPM), platform of monitoring from HP.

The Far East branch of JSC "MegaFon" services more than 4.5 million subscribers living in the Irkutsk, Amur, Sakhalin and Magadan regions, the Jewish autonomous area, Zabaykalsky Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, Primorsky Krai and Kamchatka Krai, in the Republic of Buryatia, Sakha (Yakutia) and on Chukotka. In the region the Far East branch "MegaFon" creates uniform bezroumingovy space for subscribers of the company.

As a hardware platform for business and critical processes and applications MegaFon uses a blade-HP servers of ProLiant BL460c G6. The HP console of Business Availability Center provides formation of detailed reports and status monitoring of systems in a foreground mode. HP BPM allows specialists of the Far East branch "MegaFon" to monitor work of IT infrastructure and business processes quickly. Result — reduction of number of idle times, so, decrease in load of the personnel which are responsible for technical support.

The HP solution of Business Process Monitor was set by the system integrator the Paladin Inventas (St. Petersburg) and now is used for control of such transactions as payment acceptance, a balance request through the system of self-service, registration of new clients, change of tariff plans, registration of customer appeals and many other. As actions of users generate a set of the requests passing through such technology components of IT infrastructure as firewalls, switches, balancers of loading, Web servers, application servers and DBMS, the module of HP Business Process Monitor are checked first of all by correctness of the responses arriving on requests, fixes response time of applications and indicators of their availability. It allows to emulate rather fully the most difficult, multi-stage transactions and provides to employees on IT detailed reports about functioning of IT infrastructure of the Far East branch "MegaFon". HP BPM estimates performance of applications, in particular in remote areas, and helps to take measures for correction of a situation in case of need quickly. In addition to problems of service of subscribers of HP of Business Process Monitor it is applied to monitoring of daily transactions, such as, for example, client applications of e-mail or management of a farm of virtual servers.
