E.ON Russia completes the project of automation of reporting according to IFRS the solution Microsoft Dynamics

"E.ON Russia" was created within reforming of the Russian power industry and today is a subject of wholesale market of the electric power. The formation of target structure of the enterprise was completed in 2006 when all state district power plants from its structure stopped the activity as separate legal entities, having become production branches.

Need of creation of a full-scale management system became obvious at a stage of consolidation of the generating stations. The generation company needed to create a common information space, to provide financial transparency for shareholders and owners, in 2007 the international power concern E.ON AG became basic of which. Besides, in the conditions of the distributed structure effective solution of such not less important tasks as logistics, maintenance and repair of the equipment (TORO), sales accounting of the electric power without unified information system of management was impossible.

The project became the first full-scale implementation of the ERP solution in post-reform power industry (total number of users – about 1600 people). Within a single system based on Microsoft Dynamics AH accounting and tax accounting, treasurer execution, TORO, supply and logistics are automated financial.

At the enterprise practice of fast closing of the accounting period (Fast Closing) is entered, functional inspection of activity of the company is provided, terms of acceptance of management decisions were reduced. Within development of a system at the beginning of 2011 transition to the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics AH 2009 is executed.

Development of uniform methodology of computer-aided planning and control of processes of providing with the material resources (MR) became one more task. The management subsystem by vendor relations and mechanisms of carrying out the application company on providing MTR is created. For ensuring automatic formation of budget implementation integration of the ERP system of E.ON Russia with the automated system of budgeting which is also implemented by GMCS is executed.

Project Results

On October 31, 2012 GMCS announced end of the current project for E.ON Russia. Within a corporate system of financial and economic management based on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 process of reporting according to IFRS is automated that allowed to reduce reporting terms according to IFRS: the consolidated statements for E.ON AG holding and the selected reporting of the company to increase efficiency of process of audit, to transfer managerial accounting to the IFRS standards.

Job

The project was implemented step by step. In January, 2012 operation of functionality of the solution for fixed asset accounting and incomplete construction began.

On the next stage transformation of data "RAS-> IFRS" and also process of reflection of IFRS of adjustments is automated. By the time of project completion, according to IFRS for the third quarter 2012 of E.ON Russia created the consolidated statements using the tool implemented in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009.

Now the project for E.ON Russia fully implements business process of consolidation of financial statements according to IFRS, with check of initial data by the rules set in a system. Use of the implemented solution allows to lower significantly load of employees during reporting period, to increase efficiency of process of audit, to provide information detail level required for the purpose of the management reporting.
