The company "KABEST" has created a comprehensive security system in the Novosibirsk metro.
Purpose
At the end of 2011, the Novosibirsk Metro was one of the first in the country to begin fulfilling the requirements of the Federal Program for Ensuring the Safety of Passengers in Transport. KABEST won an open tender for the preparation of design documentation and the construction of an integrated metro safety system.
Decision
Currently, KABEST specialists are equipped with 6 out of 13 stations. Among the already implemented key security subsystems:
- video surveillance. Installed cameras transmit the image from the station lobbies to the central control room, allowing you to control the situation in the subway;
- radiation monitoring. Detectors built into each inlet turnstile scan the transfer of radioactive substances. When they are detected, the system automatically blocks the passage through the turnstile and outputs information to a single dispatch center;
- inspection of passengers and baggage. Stationary and mobile sets of inspection equipment are located in specially designated areas of the metro lobbies and allow selective inspection of passengers and luggage.
Information from all security subsystems goes to a single dispatch center, which was equipped with additional servers, uninterruptible power supplies, video monitors, etc. The center promptly receives information about the situation in the metro, which allows duty operators to coordinate the actions of security services.
In 2012-2013, it is planned to complete the implementation of an integrated security system for the remaining metro stations.
Opinion
"Ensuring the safety of public transport is one of the key tasks of the government. Novosibirsk became the first Russian city to approach the implementation of the federal program to ensure the safety of the metro in a comprehensive manner. It was decided to carry out all the work by a single contractor. This allowed not only to effectively manage the project and control the work, but also to quickly implement the implementation of systems. Today, the Novosibirsk metro was the first in Russia to receive an existing comprehensive security system that meets the necessary requirements, "comments Nikolai Konkin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KABEST.
