GE Intelligent Platforms announced in June, 2012 release of mobile versions of the applications, best in the industry, on visualization, Proficy HMI/SCADA iFIX and CIMPLICITY available now and for iPad® Apple. The mobility is one of the growing trends in the field of automation and therefore the ProficySCADA application for iPad expands abilities to manage providing users who are not only in dispatching office, but also in any other place, the evident information necessary for increase in efficiency of transactions.

The application for iPad allows users of iFIX WebSpace or CIMPLICITY GlobalView to contact the performed projects of HMI/SCADA instantly. It supports all opportunities of the standard client, providing all functions of the complete version of HMI/SCADA, including support of applications of third-party developers, without requiring conversions of screens. It allows each customer to seize with little effort quickly the opportunities of the iPad for visualization solving of tasks.

The ProficySCADA application is expected advanced and ordinary users. The built-in functions of security similar to fixed functions of security of the complete version allow to differentiate powers of users and/or groups at execution of the project. The application also allows to use popular functions of the user interface iPad, such as intuitive touch input imitating work with a mouse and the keyboard. It automatically increases image scale to the current active window, allowing to use small elements of the user interface.

The new application has all advantages of the solutions Proficy HMI/SCADA, iFIX and CIMPLICITY – openness, flexibility and scalability. These products can work at one node or in the system numbering 200 and more nodes. Though applications can contact practically any device through OPC, they are delivered with a broad set of the built-in drivers for connection with a PLC of all main producers. As such, applications are completely hardware-independent and provide flexible information exchange with numerous software solutions via the uniform server.

iFIX and CIMPLICITY differ in an ability to manage in data in real time and provide control and seamless integration with other products of the Proficy family, including Proficy Historian. They provide observance of industry standards for quality improvement and coordination of production according to regulatory requirements. The products Proficy HMI/SCADA form a basis of the platform providing tools for the expanded analysis, industrial process control and achievement of operational perfection.
