St. Petersburg state museum of theatrical and musical art (ELAR Planskan)

ELAR corporation completed scanning of twelve accounting books for the St. Petersburg state museum of theatrical and musical art. Digitization is carried out on the Planskan ELAR book scanner of series "C" which is specially intended for safe and high-quality scanning of books including, with a thick back. As a result of digitization 1,500 electronic images of pages with a resolution of 400 dpi are received.

The project allowed the St. Petersburg state museum of theatrical and musical art to ensure safety of paper stock record books, as fast as possible to receive data on museum objects, and in the future will also give the chance to process information from graphic images of sheets of books for filling of the museum database.

ELAR corporation cooperates with the Russian theatrical museums many years. For example, in the Theatrical museum of A.A. Bakhrushin scanning and a rektrokonversiya of accounting books, digitization of photos from fund of the museum were performed, and in the Museum of the Bolshoi Theatre the electronic collection of suits is created.
