On February 9, 2024, HeadHunter announced the death of the company's president, Mikhail Zhukov. He was 56 years old. The causes of death are not named.

The company noted that Mikhail Zhukov in the early years of his leadership brought HeadHunter to the leaders of the Russian online recruiting market, and later to the top three largest global job search sites and staff.

He was an aspiring, always result-oriented person who knew how to set goals and achieve them. Under his leadership, HeadHunter not only became one of the leading Russian companies, but was also able to enter the international market. Thanks to his participation, a number of complex projects were implemented, which, among other things, changed the IT industry in Russia. He is one of those who changed our lives for the better, made it easier and more convenient. This is an irreparable untimely loss for both HeadHunter and us all. I express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mikhail.[1]
