Content

Digia RUS completed an implementation project of the industry analytical solution Digia Retail Analytics in retail chain stores of "MAN". The project implements a BI system on the Microsoft Business Intelligence platform.

Goal

The purpose of system implementation of Business Intelligence was reduction of time spent for creation of the reporting and also expansion of opportunities of the company according to the analysis of sales, search of ways of optimization of the range, options of attraction and deduction of buyers.

The industry analytical solution Digia Retail Analytics is designed to consolidate data from the accounting systems of the company and other data sources and to provide the convenient interactive reporting. As the main IT system the MAN company uses xxMicrosoft Dynamics AX|Microsoft Dynamics AX]], for data storage by checks the solution Crystal is used. Besides, earlier in the company the system of own development, data from which are also periodically used during creation of the reporting and planning of further activity of retail chain stores, was applied to automation of the front office. Use of Digia Retail Analytics allowed to integrate all data.

Solution

The implementation project is implemented in three months. During this time specialists of Digia performed solution integration with all necessary data sources, configured the necessary reporting and provided user training to work with a system. The main analytical models used by retail chain stores of "MAN" are the "Sales and the Warehouse", ABC analysis and Checks giving rich opportunities for detailed information analysis about sales to within the check, warehouse movements and indicators of an assortment structure.

Alexander Slavgorodsky, the Chief information officer of shopping Mall MAN noted: "Before the monthly reporting we spent for creation about a week. Now data are daily unloaded automatically, and the set-up time of reports necessary for us was reduced many times".

Result

The Digia Retail Analytics system helped to resolve the issue of fast creation of the demanded reporting which was particularly acute for the company for big time frames. The company had an opportunity with ease to create running reports on sales, to analyze efficiency of advertizing campaigns, to carry out ABC analysis of checks, to browse the interesting data in different cuts in acceptable time limits.

"Reports necessary to us form in read minutes instead of hours and even tens of hours in the past now", - Alexander Slavgorodsky emphasized. – Besides, huge plus for us is the convenience of work with Digia Retail Analytics: analysts can create and change reports, without employing programmers. Now they receive any, even very non-standard, reports independently, without spending time for an explanation of the requirements for programmers and waiting of introduction of the slightest changes. A system attracts with existence of a large number of the preconfigured reports which are not requiring a lot of work of the customer at once, and also ease of making changes in reports. Now specialists from our shops work with a system, quickly obtaining that information which is necessary for them at present".
