Digia RUS LLC is the Russian division of Digia Plc IT company, one of the leading system integrators and software developers in Finland.

The Digia company has unique experience of development of corporate information systems, solutions for mobile devices and web applications.

Specialization Digia RUS are: the systems of the business analysis (on the platform QlikView), ERP systems (on the platform Microsoft Dynamics AX), customer relationship management systems (on the platform Microsoft Dynamics CRM), portal solutions (on the platform Microsoft SharePoint Server), mobile application development (on platforms Symbian Android iOS), software development to order (outsourcing).

Offices are located in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Russia, the USA and China and total about 1600 professionals. Stocks of the company are quoted on the OMX Nordic stock exchange in Helsinki (DIG1V).

In August, 2011 Digia announced opening of office in Moscow. The new office in Moscow became the second division of Digia in Russia. The first Russian office Digia was opened in St. Petersburg in 2008. The new office Digia is located at the address: Moscow, business center "Dayev of the Loft", Dayev Lane 20.

History

2012: Video Business Intelligence is solutions

In the Russian representative office of Digia the new department which is responsible for implementation projects of video analytical solutions (Video Intelligence) for trade organizations opened. VBI solutions (Video Business Intelligence) are based on two platforms. The first is Verint Nextiva. Verint Systems Inc company. is the world leader in the field of video analytics and additional services for trade, the financial sector, the sphere of public security and other verticals. Three of five largest world retailers are clients of Verint. The second used platform – Synes Kassiopea. Synes is the innovative Russian company developing a unique cloud service for video analytics.

VBI solutions help to improve a marketing activity in shops and to increase operational efficiency of retail chain stores. To improve marketing actions, there are such tools as the thermal cards identifying a trajectory of the movement of buyers and revealing the places of the greatest interest helping to measure advertizing efficiency, placed on show-windows and in shop, and the methods of optimization of a design of shop, advertizing, promotion actions allowing to find. To increase operational efficiency, VBI solutions are proposed by the counters of buyers using one of the most exact algorithms available today. There is a possibility of demand forecasting and drawing up the optimal schedule for personnel. In particular, a system traces length of queues and holding time, in advance warning the senior cashier about need of a timely output of additional cashiers.

2012: Digia purchased Qt at Nokia

Digia announced in the summer of 2012 agreement signature about acquisition of Qt of technology and all Qt of business at Nokia company. After this transaction of Digia it will become responsible for development and product development, commercial and open Lgpllitsenzirovaniye, technical support and services. After acquisition of Digiaplaniruyet to add official support of Qt on the Android, IOS and Windows 8 platforms. One of main objectives of this acquisition is strengthening of the provision Digia in an ecosystem of Qt and strengthening of its opportunities for development and support of a product and also increase in quantity of supported platforms. Digia purchased business of commercial licensing of Qt Commercial at Nokia in March, 2011, this business remains successful and significantly extending. Digia predicts positive influence of acquisition of all Qt on the income in 2012 and further growth in the years ahead. Under the terms of the transaction up to 125 Qt-employees of Nokia will pass into Digia, mainly into offices in Oslo (Norway) and Berlin (Germany). The transaction considerably will strengthen business of Digia and will promote achievement of strategic objectives of the company at the international level.

2012: The Finnish ERP vendor looks after the Russian companies for purchase

The Russian division of the Finnish developer and integrator of corporate information systems based on Microsoft Dynamics AX Digia Rus signed on November 12, 2012 the partnership agreement with the Russian integrator Mindcore. It is said in the joint statement of the companies published on November 12, 2012.

As the CEO of Digia Rus Mikhail Mogilevsky explained TAdviser, the companies have several types of business which organically add each other. And joint work with Mindcore is an expansion of the competence through the partner and an opportunity to increase the customer base at the expense of those directions where the partner has no necessary qualification.

"We do not consider partnership as absorption", - Mikhail Mogilevsky told. According to him, the companies work according to the partner scheme of settlement when everyone receives a certain percent from profit depending on share in this or that project. "Digia has plans for transactions M&A, but it is long and skurpulezny process. Now we are at a stage of the choice of candidates", - he concluded.

Using Mindcore of the Digia portfolio will add Microsoft Dynamics NAV – the ERP system intended for the small and medium organizations and also industry solutions on its basis. Besides, both Digia, and Mindcore will have an opportunity of cross-sellings of the products and services.

"For us alliance with such serious European integrator as Digia gives the chance to significantly expand our opportunities in the field of IT consulting, having provided to our clients a broad spectrum of the BI solutions which are far beyond classical ERP implementations. Besides, considering traditionally strong positions of Digia in North-West Region, we have a good opportunity to be closer to our clients in St. Petersburg and area", - the CEO of Mindcore Denis Ivanov in turn noted.

The CEO of Mindcore Denis Ivanov explained TAdviser that the agreement with Digia is a feeler in projects of this sort. "For us this agreement is an access to the international brand with a world name, and for them - entry into the additional markets of ERP systems of Russia", - Denis Ivanov told.

According to him about any absorption now the speech does not go, both companies save the organizational forms and brands. And moving of employees is caused by political and technical reasons. "Together at one office at us communication process considerably becomes simpler", - Denis Ivanov explained.

Within the agreement of the company combine the efforts in providing the maximum volume of services to the clients and also integrate the offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg. So the staff of the Moscow representative office of Digia will work at office Mindcore (Moscow, Bolshaya Tulskaya 10 building 5) instead of earlier occupied office in Dayev of the Loft now, and the St. Petersburg specialists of Mindcore will move to office Digia (St. Petersburg, Beloostrovskaya, 8).
