New disk

The New Disk company is one of publishers and distributors of the multimedia software, computer games, the training programs and the video production in the territory of Russia and the CIS countries.

History of the company

1991 - the Komingfo company is created. For the first time in Russia the Color Scan technology allowing to create color images on the black-and-white scanner is developed (color scanners at that time did not exist).

1992 - the Russia's first multimedia interactive program on the diskettes Moscow Kremlin Floppy Book is developed and its sale in Armory of the Moscow Kremlin is organized.

1993 - audio-and video annexes to the Moscow Kremlin Floppy Book program are developed.

1994 - CD ROM of the programs Moscow Kremlin CD Guide, Peterhof CD Guide, Fabergé Easter Eggs which were translated into the English, German, Italian and Japanese languages are developed.

1995 - in Russia the Russian versions of CD ROM "The guide to the Moscow Kremlin", "Peterhof guide", "St. Petersburg are published. Multimedia album".

1999 - the game "Shizarium" is released.

2000 - agreements with world leaders in the development area of children's computer programs - Scholastic, by Disney Inc, LEGO Media, Dorling Kindersley are signed.

Actively the game direction develops, games - Baldur's Gate 2 are released: Shadows of Amn, Icewind Dale, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Tomb Raiders Chronicles and others.

Also the New Disk company became exclusive the distributor of such known international companies as BBC, EIDOS, Interplay, Virgin, Hasbro, etc. "New Disk" the first in Russia releases products in DVD packaging.

2001 - department "Education MEDIA" together with Prosveshcheniye publishing house is created.

2002 - a series of games and the training programs for children Finder is produced in, the direction of useful and educational programs develops - "Self-instruction manual Windows XP" is published.

2003 - a series of programs of E-Learning for the solution of corporate tasks of training is issued. The agreement with SkillSoft company is signed.

2004 - disks to textbooks of Prosveshcheniya publishing house are developed. A series of games for girls - Valley of Roz, game hits - Factory of stars, Alexander, The Suffering, Chicken of Chick, etc. is released.

2005 - the New Disk company begins to be a producer and publish domestic games - Antikiller, Night's Watch.

2005 - release of interactive DVDs for a game not only on PC, but also on the TV using the control panel - "Ginness. World records", "Who wants to become a millionaire?", etc.

2006 - "The new Disk" becomes official distributor of Nintendo company in Russia. Producing of domestic children's programs - "The Cheburashka in the City of Mechanical Little Men", "Three small white mice begins. Visit of a sea rat".

2007 – there are localized versions of cult game projects. Among them – the best role play of 2007 Witcher, the classical network Unreal Tournament 3 shooter and an uncompromising anti-terrorist action of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

2009 – "The new Disk" develops the direction of DVD video and signs partner agreements with the largest publishers of movies on DVD: "Cinema without borders", RUSCICO, Leopolis, etc. The line of the localized games from KOIE company is released. Completely in Russian there is a game Batman: Arkham Asylum.
