The Kinomax cinema chain is the Russian regional operator of the cinema sphere, combining 28 cinemas with 149 cinemas. Cinemas "Kinomax" are located in 20 cities of Russia. Since 2011, Kinomax has been cooperating with IMAX Corporation, cinemas equipped with this technology have been opened in Astrakhan and Ryazan.

Performance indicators

2024: Revenue growth by 28.1% to RUB 5.1 billion

In 2024, the Kinomax cinema chain recorded revenue of 5.12 billion rubles. For comparison, a year earlier, the indicator was at the level of 4 billion rubles. Thus, there was an increase of 28.1%, as stated in the financial statements, which TAdviser got acquainted with at the end of July 2025.

The cost of sales on an annualized basis increased by 18.9% - from 1.65 billion rubles to 1.97 billion rubles. Commercial expenses rose one and a half times, reaching 181.21 million rubles in 2024 against 119.9 million rubles in 2023. Management expenses added 8% - from 1.91 billion rubles to 2.06 billion rubles. Other revenues decreased from 2.88 billion rubles to 2.44 billion rubles, that is, by 15.3%. Other expenses decreased by almost a quarter - from 4.01 billion rubles to 3.07 billion rubles.

Cinema chain "Kinomax" completed the year with revenue growth of 28.1%

Revenues from the sale of products, goods, works and services for the year jumped by 129.2%, reaching 3.81 billion rubles against 1.66 billion rubles in 2023. Payments to suppliers (contractors) for raw materials, materials, works and services rose by a quarter - from 1.9 billion rubles to 2.39 billion rubles. Expenses in connection with the remuneration of workers showed an increase of 24.2% - from 558.24 million rubles to 693.41 million rubles.

In 2024, Kinomax's gross profit amounted to 3.15 billion rubles: this is 34.6% more than in the previous year, when it was 2.34 billion rubles. Profit from sales soared by 192% - from 310.82 million rubles to 907.59 million rubles. The cinema chain received 15.38 million rubles of net profit against 751.25 million rubles of net losses in 2023.

As of December 31, 2024, receivables are indicated in the amount of 302.41 million rubles: this is 6.8% less than in the previous year (324.45 million rubles). Accounts payable decreased by 1% - from 934.59 million rubles to 925.26 million rubles.[1]

2022: 46.6% decrease in revenue

The Kinomax network's revenue in 2022 decreased by 46.6% to about 2 billion rubles, and the loss amounted to almost 1 billion rubles against a profit of 193.4 million rubles in 2021. Read more here.
