"Dolce vita" implements IP-telefonii network and unifies the equipment the products Cisco

The Microtest company created IP-telefonii network with support of a video conferencing for the large distributor of food "Dolce vitas". The network is built based on the equipment Cisco Systems.

Objectives

Need of creation of the updated IP-telefonii network arose in connection with relocation of the company to the new office located to Dzerzhinsk. Besides, the former network was built based on the equipment of several producers that complicated unification of approach to its use.

The Microtest company is selected by the contractor from the project thanks to strong position in IT market of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Solution

The network at new office is created on the platform of the equipment from one producer – Cisco Systems. For implementation of the tasks the solution Cisco Unified Communications Manager is used. This application gives the chance to personnel of Dolce vita to use up to 250 internal subscriber lines. Employees had an opportunity to contact quickly colleagues, precisely knowing whether those are available at present and to what type of communication they give preference. The solution Cisco Unified Communications Manager also provided quick access to data of customers and connection on the IP telephony to other telecom operators.

Besides, the customer had an opportunity from development of wireless telephony on warehouse complexes. For ensuring mobile work of employees more than 160 Samsung tablet computers are delivered. Safe Internet connection was provided by the server hardware with Microsoft ForeFront software set on it. As a result it was succeeded to build the full-fledged network ensuring high-quality functioning of all internal systems and services in the company.

Result

The project is executed "turnkey" in six months, including preproject inspection, preparation of documentation, supply of equipment, its installation and setup and also testing of the created IP network. On September 18, 2012 the Microtest company announced completion of works in the project.
