Arsenal of MZ, St. Petersburg (Galaktika Management of manufacturing enterprise)

Choosing a Solution. In selection process the systems of the class ERP, both western, and Russian were considered: SAP R/3, Oracle E-Business Suite, Galaktika, Parus. In May, 2005 the Galaktika ERP system was selected. As arguments for benefit of this solution a ratio of the available functionality, experience of implementations, the prices and also perspectives of development of a system, its potential served.

Solution. Based on inspection of JSC MZ Arsenal, requirements in the form of technical specifications were defined and approved and the step-by-step plan of system implementation is developed. In December, 2005 implementation of the plan of commissioning of a system Galaktika at the plant is begun. System implementation Galaktika was carried out in the following directions:

• logistics management;
• accounting and tax accounting;
• personnel management and payroll;
• planning and accounting of repairs of the equipment;
• production accounting.

In the middle of 2008 automated information system implementing the above-named directions began to be operated in the industrial mode.

Basis a task for automation of production planning and accounting is maintaining the uniform normative reference information on the basis of integration into the Smarteam PDM system which is used at the plant for preparation of production and information storage on products. Synchronization of a system Galaktika and "Smarteam" at the level of the directory of material values is implemented. In the industrial mode means of a system Galaktika directly in workshops keep production account of the movement of materials, procurements, component parts and DSE on planned and accounting points. Now system integration tools Galaktika and "Smarteam" at the level of specifications and route charts are developed and their trial operation is performed. What will allow to implement problems of production planning.

Result. Start of a system Galaktika in commercial operation for JSC MZ Arsenal provided:

• possibility of maintaining uniform base of the normative reference information;
• production accounting by production divisions;
• possibility of continuous and total reflection on accounts of accounting of all economic transactions on the basis of primary documents;
• accounting and allocation of costs;
• formation of accounting records of the plant;
• timely obtaining reliable and consistent information about financial and economic activity of the enterprise.
