2012: Synology DX213+

The Synology company announced in October, 2012 entry into the market of new 2-disk expansion unit of DX213+ which will satisfy the needs for expansion of data storage of the house or for office.

"Management of the increasing amount of data should not take away time from affairs, important for work. For this reason, the Synology company developed new DX213 which just will help quickly and to expand possibilities of storage, and thanks to two hard drives, users will be able to reach maximum efficiency of the device", - said Chad Dzhang (Chad Chiang), Synology Inc products manager.

You should not spend time for reformatting of the existing disks, for expansion of volumes of RAID, on a number of the DiskStation models, there is enough only direct connection of DX213, and smooth operation of the device during this process, will become one more important advantage during the work with it. Users can also use DX213 as independent storage together with DiskStation. Thus, the device can serve as the excellent solution for backup.

Working in DiskStation pair, DX213 supports the Plug-n-use technology developed by Synology, namely, the device is provided to eSATA with ports which reliably fix both ends of a cable for ensuring the best stable connection. And its maximum capacity in 3.0 Gbps ensures the effective coordinated work with DiskStation that allows them to function as a unit.

Synology DX213 supports the special energy saving mode of the Deep Sleep which joins automatically if the device long is not used. Working together with a number of the models Synology DiskStation, DX213 has function of intuitive inclusion / switching off according to work of a master device.
