Michal graduated from the Czech technical university (Prague) and has degrees of Master of Business Administration (the University of Chicago, the USA), Master of Business Telecommunications (The technology university of Delft, the Netherlands).
Career
Mr. Chupa took the highest leading positions in the companies telecom and IT sectors: Tefonica O2 Czech (Czech Telecom), TeleDanmark, etc. In Russia Michal held positions of the senior vice president and chief executive officer of Golden Telecom and the CEO of Sovintel company ('Sovintel') – the leading independent telecom operator in Russia and the CIS countries.
Held the CEO's positions in Azertelecom (Azerbaijan), the CEO of department of consumer services and online projects in Microsoft Russia and the CEO of Microsoft across the Czech Republic and Slovakia (Microsoft Czech Republic & Slovakia). Under the leadership of Michal division of Microsoft Czech became first in the world in growth of profitability and the second in growth rates of revenue among all other divisions of Microsoft.
