The Volga region academy of physical culture, sport and tourism develops own IT infrastructure

AF ICL-KPO company completed the first stage of work on an implementation project of a management system for educational process of the Volga region state academy of physical culture, sport and tourism, the company integrator reported on October 16, 2012.

Solution

At creation of IT infrastructure of academy, the decision on the conceptual description of systems and the subsequent their systematic deployment is made. For development of such concept, at the end of 2011, during the open competition, AF ICL-KPO company was approved.

As basic the stack of products of Microsoft company as the most available (at the total cost of ownership) for educational institution is selected. In the concept of the project the model of consecutive implementation infrastructure and business projects was described. The first projects from this model became a directory service based on Microsoft Active Directory, the system of operational interaction constructed on the basis of Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, the internal Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 portal, an electronic document management system based on products of Docsvision company, the technology partner of Microsoft. On it the first stage of work on deployment of the infrastructure necessary for functioning of a system of the Volga region academy was completed.

- The Volga region academy of sport and tourism had a unique chance to correctly construct the information infrastructure, having made everything "from scratch", and the university used this chance. For the small period of work at the disposal of users the uniform directory service, a mail system and the internal portal appeared We hope that the first stage is only the beginning of our cooperation which will lead in the future, to even more large-scale and technological implementations, - the manager of projects of ICL-KPO of AF Ilya Fedorov noted.
