In CDB of civil aviation earned electronic archive

In November, 2012 IBS Platformix completed the complex project of creation of electronic archive for FBU "Central Clinical Hospital of Civil Aviation" (CDB GA). In only one and a half months all hardware and software system of electronic archive was designed and installed and also are carried out data migration to new storage and training of specialists of CDB GA. The project of creation of electronic archive was followed by updating of the virtualized platform. It became a big step on the way of development of the modern IT infrastructure of CDB GA corresponding to relevant requirements of hospital.

Project Tasks

Creation of electronic archive is integrated to need to have a reliable and convenient resource for storage of medical images which number constantly increases. Such images form in the course of carrying out roentgenoscopic researches, computer, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonic diagnostics and other inspections.

Creation of a failsafe and scalable solution for storage of medical images and also their interfaces to a medical electronic information system of hospital became a project objective. The created electronic archive was completely integrated into the existing IT infrastructure of CDB GA.

Project Progress

The electronic archive is created based on the EMC VNX storage area network with the maximum formatted file capacity of 256 TB and is under control of VMware vSphere hypervisor. For implementation of a task it was required to update and configure a hypervisor from 4 to 5 versions and also to upgrade the used storage area network (HP of EVA).

Within the project technical specialists of service of information technologies of CDB GA were trained in specialized laboratory of Smart Level training center. Thus, the IT personnel were completely prepared for further independent operation of the implemented complex.
