Smirnov Alexander Aleksandrovich is the deputy CEO for work with executive authorities of Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosmorport. Former first Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation.

Biography

Was born on November 30, 1958 in Borovichi of the Novgorod region, Russia.

Education

1992 - graduated from law department of St. Petersburg State University.

Career

1979 - began service in bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs the militiaman of security guard and patrol service in Smolninsky district.

1980 - 1986 - the local police inspector of the Kalinin District Department of the Interior.

Since 1986 - on operational work, passed all official steps - from the operational worker to the chief of criminal militia of the Central district.

Since 1996 - directed department of disclosure of premeditated murders, headed Criminal office and criminal militia of the Municipal Department of Internal Affairs.

Since 2000 - the first deputy chief of Main Department of Internal Affairs of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

2003 - - worked with 2008 in Administration of the President of the Russian Federation.

2008 - 2009 - the adviser to the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation.

October, 2009 - April, 2010 - the associate director of the Federal Penitentiary Service^[1].

April 5, 2010 - By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 5, 2010 No. 415 it is appointed to the position of the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation^[2].

On June 30, 2012 - October, 2014 - By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of June 30, 2012 No. 921 it is appointed to the position of the First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation.

Having promoted, Alexander Smirnov not only saved former powers, but also received key functions of control of the personnel and NPO and department of the constitutional legislation (which were in the field of responsibility of the dismissed officials earlier)^[3].

Since December, 2014 held a position of the associate director of the Russian Government's Executive Office.
