The Kvadra generation company implements a MES system implementation project

The Amount of Technologies company developed and implemented PTK "Center of Collecting and Processing of Technology Information" in the generation company JSC Kvadra, the company contractor in the press release reported on November 21, 2012.

Solution

Within the project data integration more than from 300 local automation systems of twenty four combined heat and power plants located in eleven regions of Russia is executed. The single system of control of technology processes performing also decision making support function on work of the generation company in wholesale market of the electric power and power is built.

Implementation of PTK TSSTI allows the staff of production divisions of JSC Kvadra timely and in a convenient format to obtain exact data on operation of the equipment, volumes of development of the heat and electric power, a fuel component in cost value of energy and by other major parameters. On the basis of this information the staff of production dispatching services defines optimal operation modes of the equipment. For the services working with OREM, these data act as the operational and objective information for decision making, higher rates of work directed to achievement on BR, RSV and the market of power.

The project is developed using a software platform of System Platform of Wonderware company that allowed to decide one of the most difficult tasks of system development - to provide fast and effective integration of diverse automated systems, program and hardware, with a possibility of further development of a system.

Result

In October, 2012 a system was put into commercial operation. The expected result from its implementation:

• reliable and exact control of parameters of technology production processes of the electric power and heat in real time;
• signaling and the operational notification of managers on a deviation of values of development out of the set limits;
• automatic calculation of a fuel component in cost value of the electric power for each hour, preparation of requests for participation for BR and RSV and recommendations about increase in efficiency of combined heat and power plant;
• monitoring of operation parameters of combined heat and power plant and operation personnel.
