Biography

Nikolay was born on December 20, 1950 in Karaganda.

In 1973 got an education at the Karaganda polytechnical institute in "electrification and automation of mining operations".

In 1980 completed training in in the eighth faculty of the Higher school of KGB.

Worked at the enterprises of ore mining industry, tracing anti-Soviet moods and respect for privacy.

Served in the First head department of KGB of the USSR (foreign intelligence).

In the 1980th worked in the Dresden residency of KGB. Got acquainted with Vladimir Putin who arrived to the GDR in 1985.

From 1993 to 1996 worked as the head of department of external relations in Russian-German Leasing Company closed joint stock company.

In 1996 received a position of the deputy CEO for property management abroad in the Presidential Property Management Department of the Russian Federation by the deputy CEO of the unitary state enterprise for property management abroad (UGP "Goszagransobstvennost").

In defects. The wife is Galina. The daughter is Maya Nikolaevna Bolotova. The son-in-law is Andrey Bolotov.
