Biography

Since 2006 Elena Prokhorova worked in VimpelCom. During the work in the company performed communication support of the majority of key strategic projects, including obtaining licenses on 3G in 2007, transactions on merge to Golden Telecom and Korbina in 2008, creations of the VimpelCom Ltd holding company. in 2009-2010.

On positions of the head of service of corporate communications Elena was also responsible for development and implementation of anti-recessionary PR-actions and communication support of top management of the company.

In September, 2012 VimpelCom announced Elena Prokhorova's appointment to a position of the director of external communications of JSC VimpelCom, a business unit Russia. As the Director of external communications Elena directed two main divisions. First, service of corporate communications which implements PR-projects on corporate subject and in the field of corporate social liability. And, secondly, service brand communications which is responsible for support of products and services for the mass and corporate markets. In Elena's subordination also work the press secretary of the company and regional PR-services.

Elena also fulfilled duties of the head of corporate communications of VimpelCom Ltd., performing communication support of VimpelCom Ltd. in the Russian market and coordinating PR-actions with VimpelCom Ltd top management participation. at the level of the holding company.

In February, 2015 Elena Prokhorova made the decision to continue career out of VimpelCom company. Her position was held by Andrey Bykasov.

In January, 2020 Roskomnadzor announced appointment of the new press secretary — the assistant administrator of department for public relations. This position was taken by Elena Prokhorova who has long-term work experience in public relations.
