RGU of oil and gas of I.M. Gubkin is equipped with interactive complexes of support of work of dissertation councils

The IT company executed hardware of 13 audiences of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas interactive complexes for support of work of dissertation councils of university, the company integrator reported on December 18, 2012.

Objectives

Equipment of audiences of university the modern high-tech solution was initiated by the management of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas at the beginning of 2012. The project is implemented according to requirements of regulations of holding meetings of the dissertation councils defined in the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation of December 12, 2011 No. 2817 "About the statement of Regulations on council for protection of theses for a degree of the candidate of science, for a degree of the doctor of science". From the contractor it was required to provide broadcasting and record of the held meetings, to implement storage of electronic materials and media data and also in general to support collective work of attendees and removed participants of dissertation councils using modern audiovisual means.

According to the results of the held auction, the right to project implementation was acquired by the IT company which offered the interactive hardware and software system intended especially for use in educational institutions and the scientific organizations.

Solution

Within the project specialists of IT carried out a full range of works, including installation and a commissioning of the equipment and also personnel training of the customer that allowed to provide the solution, ready to practical operation.

The interactive complex consists of the following subsystems:

Details

The interactive complexes created in RGU of oil and gas allow to show digital presentation materials and other video information from different sources of video signals, provide forward video broadcasts of meetings on the Internet, give the chance to connect removed participants, including in a webinar format, support audio-and a video of the taking place events. The system of broadcasting is constructed based on Adobe Connect, at the same time interaction modules with other subsystems were developed by specialists of IT especially for RGU of oil and gas.

For creation of qualitative sound space and a full-fledged scope of audience the subsystem of sound providing, including sound amplification in the musical and speech mode using microphones and other sources of an audiosignal is used. Besides, for speakers convenient function of hand-written input of marks and summaries over the shown materials and interactive display of the graphic information (drawings, diagrams, formulas) created directly during the action is offered.

In a complex the centralized storage of electronic copies of documents and presentation materials with the accessibility to them from local and remote computers is implemented. Important advantage of the solution is the automated maintaining the diagram of protection of theses in electronic form. Besides, integrated management of all presentation equipment from one touchpad allowing to work by means of the specialized graphical interface with different devices as with elements of single solution is implemented.

"Within liberalization and transparency of a system of protection of theses all meetings of dissertation councils will be broadcast on the Internet in the online mode now, with an opportunity far off in an interactive mode to ask questions.
