i-Teco OpenStack Cloud

In December, 2012 I-Teco announced start of the Russia's first public cloud which is completely constructed based on OpenStack and focused on the companies of medium and small business. Service is started in the test mode and allows to use free of charge during the test period virtual servers.

IaaS– Infrastructure as a Service became the first service from I-Teco for the companies of small and medium business, available to work in the test (free) mode: lease of virtual servers from the public cloud of I-Teco placed in data center TrustInfo. New service is called i-Teco OpenStack Cloud. It is remarkable that for the first time the cloud focused on requirements of the small companies brings in Russia on the market the large system integrator known for the successful projects for large business and a public sector. I-Teco since 2011 already provides IaaS service which prednaznachayetsyav the main for the large companies – i-Teco Enterprise Cloud. When implementing new service were considered as experiment of I-Teco on providing virtual infrastructure to big customers, and specifics of requirements of the companies of small and medium business in this connection i-Teco OpenStack Cloud is constructed on a separate cloud platform.

The public cloud of I-Teco is implemented on OpenStack — the open source for creation of computing clouds and cloud storages, both public, and private. Based on OpenStack build the infrastructure already more than 150 companies of the world, including - IBM, Yahoo, Intel, AMD, Cisco, HP and many others.

Advantages of the OpenStack platform are profitability due to use of the OpenSource-code and compatibility of the standard with API of Amazon EC2. Thanks to an opportunity to create economic solutions for management of IT infrastructure the OpenStack platform will allow the small companies to create, test and develop IT infrastructure with an optimal ratio of functionality and cost.

According to experts of I-Teco, the market of SMB today – one of the most dynamically developing segments regarding a service consumption pattern of IT services. By data J’son&Partners, the SMB companies are already kept by more than 50% of consumers of cloud services. The i-Teco OpenStack Cloud service is available on the website www.i-oblako.ru through registration in the Personal account. The IaaS service from I-Teco will be brought into commercial operation in February, 2013. Gradually in the Personal account on the website http://www.i-oblako.ru there will be an opportunity to test, order and begin work with other services from I-Teco and also business applications which are submitted by partners of system integrator on "a cloud show-window" of "Shop of i-Oblako services". On it the SaaS-application for business regarding support of work of office and a back office, business process management, business maintenance, industry solutions – in total about 30 services is already provided.
