Performance indicators
2012: TrustInfo claims 20% of the market for commercial data centers in Moscow
TrustInfo plans to put into operation 2 new machine rooms by the end of 2012, thereby increasing the number of racks to 2000, expanding the hybrid cloud to 8,000 virtual machines, the company said.
"Thus," TrustInfo "can increase its share in the Moscow data center services market from about 7% now to 20% and approach companies such as Stack Data Network and Data Space Partners (DSP), each of which has a market share of about 20%," - said TAdviser analyst iKS-consulting Konstantin Ankilov.
The press service of TrustInfo told the TAdviser correspondent that the company estimates its share in the cloud services market based on the data center at 2%. At the end of the year, the company predicts 15% revenue growth.
There are all prerequisites for achieving this goal: according to the results of the first half of 2012, the company's business grew by 42% in monetary terms, despite the fact that market dynamics is predicted by analysts at the level of + 22% in 2012 (the market volume as a whole in 2012 is projected at 4.9 billion rubles). Ankilov connects the rapid growth of the company's indicators with the commissioning of additional space in the amount of 400 square meters, and, accordingly, new opportunities to increase the cleanliness of customers.
TrustInfo highlights several dravivers of the growth of its business: IT infrastructure outsourcing services and the provision of cloud services based on a data center. The main consumers of the company's services were clients from the financial and telecommunications industries, the public sector. In particular, the share of the financial sector in the company's project portfolio is 35%, telecommunications - 30%, the public sector - 25% and 10% - other industries.
"Services traditionally in high demand are co-location (placement of customer equipment on the territory of our data center), outsourcing of IT infrastructure, rental of server equipment. However, we consider the general and very promising trend of 2012 to be the interest of customers in complex projects. Similar to the principle of "one window," our clients increasingly want to receive from one provider the entire range of services related to IT: from corporate mail support to outstaffing of IT personnel, "said Evgeny Shchepilov, director of the Ai-Teko Service Center.
According to TAdviser in the company, now the revenue structure is as follows:
- IT infrastructure outsourcing - 50%
- system integration - 13%
- outsourcing of information systems and business applications - 10%
- installation and support of equipment - 9%
- providing cloud services based on the TrustInfo data center - 2%
- other services - 16%.
In 2012, revenue from data center services amounted to 40.5 million USD
Elena Vorobyova, director of the Stack Data Network Center for External and Internal Communications, in an interview with TADviser, welcomed the increase in the capacity of TrustInfo. According to her, the existing capacities of data centers are not enough to meet the growing demand. In "TrustInfo" Vorobyova does not see competitors also in the fact that Stack Data Network works with its clients according to the model of mobile data centers, which adapt to the company's requests.

Tieto announces plans to buy TrustInfo
The deal between I-Teco and Tieto has been discussed since the end of 2009. According to Remizov, the Finnish company became its initiator.
In March 2010, due diligence of the data center was held, then the work of auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers and lawyers took six months.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service has allowed a deal between the Finnish Tieto and TrustInfo, the data center of the Russian system integrator Ai-Teko. Participants petitioned for Tieto to acquire 100% of the shares of Cyprus Trust Info Commercial Limited, which is engaged in investment activities. As explained by CNews in the FAS, the petition was filed in accordance with paragraph 8 of part 1 of article 28 of the "Law on Protection of Competition." "This means that as a result of a foreign transaction to buy Trust Info Commercial Limited, rights are acquired against a Russian legal entity - TrustInfo," the department said.
It was stated that the newly created enterprise will have only two shareholders, a majority stake in a Finnish company, and a minority stake in a Russian one. Then the interest of the parties in the capital was not disclosed, and according to CNews, Tieto received an option to buy back 100% of the shares over several years. The JV's board of directors must consist of five members, three of whom will be directors by Tieto. From the Finnish side, the joint venture received 20 million euros, from the Russian side - the TrustInfo data center on the Warsaw highway. To complete the transaction, the parties waited only for the approval of the FAS.
On September 2, 2010, Aleksei Remizov and at that time Executive Vice President of Tieto Pekka Viljakainen signed an agreement on the creation of a joint venture, which was supposed to receive all the assets of the data center from the Russian side, and investments in development from the Finnish side. Their initial volume was supposed to be 20 million euros.
It was planned that 70% of the shares of the new company will be owned by the Finnish side, and 30% will remain with I-Teco. The option prescribed in the agreement at Tieto's request allowed it to increase its stake to 100% within 3 years.
During the preparation of the deal in November 2010, Tieto left Pekka Villakainen.
Revenue growth by 1.5 times
In 2010, revenue from the provision of services based on the data center increased 1.5 times. As of September 2010, 15 customers used the data center.
About 60% of TrustInfo 's revenue comes from renting space for customer equipment. A third of customers purchase high-level IT services - hardware and OS administration, backup and recovery service, as well as administration of SAP enterprise management systems.
2011
Tieto refuses to buy TrustInfo
As of April 2011, according to the Director of Strategic Development of I-Teco Vladimira Lvova, 450 racks are already used by customers, the remaining 350 seats have already been ordered.
In April 2011, it became known that the Finnish service provider Tieto was unable to complete the transaction on the acquisition from the Russian system integrator "I-Teco" of the company "TrustInfo," managing the data center of the same name on Varshavskoye Shosse in Moscow.
As the [1] the founder and chairman of the board of directors of "I-Teco" Aleksei Remizov[2] CNews, the parties have already fully prepared the deal - they received the approval of the FAS, the Russian side performed formal internal procedures, it remained to draw up a single document.
By February 28, 2011 (the end date of the agreement), the Finnish company was supposed to send an act of acceptance of the data center (one page of text) to Ai-Teko, but did not do so without explaining the reasons.
Tieto told CNews that they, together with I-Teco, "analyzed the situation and concluded that in the current market conditions, the benefits from the creation of a joint venture will be less significant than originally assumed." "Tieto and Ai-Teco remain partners and will continue to cooperate. Tieto as a service provider will still remain one of TrustInfo 's large customers who have placed their resources at the leased data center site in Moscow, "added Karina Glukhareva, Tieto Marketing Director in Russia and the CIS.
However, I-Teco, according to Remizov, is no longer as interested in selling its data center as it was six months before. "We expected from the Finnish side first of all to receive an examination of the remote provision of IT services," he told CNews. - But by spring 2011 we realized that the qualification of our own experts is already comparable to the Russian representative office of Tieto. Having felt unwillingness to complete the deal on the part of the Finns, we did not insist. "
There will be no litigation or fines against Tieto, says Remizov. Ai-Teko also does not plan to look for a new buyer for TrustInfo. Moreover, in 2011, the company decided to build another data center in Moscow. Its location, characteristics and investor participating in the beginning construction are not named.
PCI DSS Certification
July 25, 2011 successfully passed certification for compliance with the requirements of the international PCI DSS standard (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). The successful audit confirms that the TrustInfo computing environment, on the basis of which card processing, storage and transfer services are provided, guarantees comprehensive information security. The infrastructure of the data center for working with payment information is allocated into a separate segment, has contours of physical and information protection. In addition, various mechanisms for data encryption and access control are used. System components and antivirus software are constantly updated, the network is monitored and tested for possible threats.
Partnership with IBM
In December 2011, it became known that I-Teco became IBM's first partner in promoting the "hybrid" cloud in the Russian market. The integrator will provide services based on the Cloud Computing Reference Architecture, developed using IBM Tivoli and IBM WebSphere software.
The official statement of the companies says that through "I-Teco" Russian enterprises will have access to a full range of services for creating Private Trusted Cloud environments based on the TrustInfo integrator's own data center.
