Biography

Was born in the city of Gorno-Altaysk.

In 1986 graduated from the Altai state university.

Career

In 1973-1974 – the machine operator of furniture factory in the city of Gorno-Altaysk.

In 1974-1976 - the militiaman, the local police inspector of Department of Internal Affairs of the Gorno-Altaysk Executive Committee of the City Soviet of People's Deputies.

From 1976 to 1980 - the chief inspector of criminal investigation department, the chief of department of criminal investigation department of Department of Internal Affairs of the Gorno-Altaysk Executive Committee of the City Soviet of People's Deputies.

From 1980 to 1982 - the chief inspector on especially important issues of criminal office of the ATC of Altai Krai, the assistant department head on fight against crimes against the identity of criminal office of the ATC of Altai Krai.

In 1983-1990 - the chief of Department of Internal Affairs of Mayminsky district executive committee of the Gorno-Altaysk autonomous region.

In 1990-1991 - the deputy chief of the ATC of the Gorno-Altaysk regional executive committee.

In 1991-1992 - the first deputy minister, the chief of service of criminal police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Altai Republic.

Since 1993 - the Minister of Internal Affairs of Altai Republic.

Since October 14, 2002 - the chief federal inspector in Altai Krai.

Since October 29, 2002 - the chief federal inspector in Altai Republic and Altai Krai of Territorial Department of the office of the Russian President's Plenipotentiary in the Siberian federal district.

Since March 6, 2003 - the chief federal inspector in Altai Krai of Territorial Department of the office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District.

On December 22, 2005 Alexander Berdnikov is approved as the Governor of the Altai Republic.

On March 20, 2019 submitted the application to the Russian President To Vladimir Putin for early resignation from a post of the head of the region in connection with the end of a term of office and a job change^[1].

In June, 2019 state Alexander Berdnikov Rosgeo^[2].
