The company Kyocera Fineceramics performs transition from the Movex system on ERP- the solution Infor M3 at all the European offices, the press service of developer reported on January 11, 2013.
Objectives
Since April, 2013 the Infor M3 system will perform order processing in Esslingena, Noys, London and Paris. In Germany the field of activity of the company is quite extensive — from the body for microelectronics and touchpads for automotive industry to solar modules and the cutting tool in mechanical engineering. After updating of a system the Kyocera company will be able to offer clients the modern user interface, powerful function of search and closer integration with Microsoft Office applications.
In three countries where updating of a system is planned, the former Movex system was used for the last eight years. User interfaces have complex structure — a large number of open windows worsens the overview. Insufficient search functions also complicate use of data arrays. Besides, often integration of data in Microsoft Office happens manually: users transfer information from one application to another by hand.
Expectations
Using the flexible environment at client stations the Infor system will automatically consolidate data from different sources on the general dashboard. The Smart Office application automatically exports data from Infor M3 to Microsoft Office applications and back. The Enterprise Search application will give to users in Kyocera company high flexibility by spontaneous search of any content, for example orders, customer information and products.
