Omutinsky ATP controls public rural transport satellite technologies

On February 19, 2013 the company "Fort Telecom" reported: in the Tyumen region, the village of Omutinskoye all buses Omutinsky ATP of Ltd for passenger traffic of residents of the village of Omutinskoye are equipped with transport monitoring system GLONASS - FORT. Installation and commissioning of a system GLONASS/GPS were carried out by the company "Agreement".

Background

System implementation of satellite control is carried out according to order No. 285 of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation which obliges to control all carriers of passengers since January 1, 2013 work of the transport using navigation equipment. The Ministry of Transport hopes to increase thereby significantly safety of people on public transport.

Solution

The FORT navigation system equips 24 public rural buses of brands PAZ, LiAZ, KAVZ. All information on their movement is transferred to a dispatcher station based on ATP. Using FortMonitor software, the manager watches observance by drivers of buses of the high-speed mode and schedule performance of arrival of transport on stops according to the schedule.

Result

After system implementation of monitoring of FORT, in addition to the changes important for residents of the village of Omutinskoye, the enterprise saw fuel economy. Due to reduction of a run of machines, observance of the exact diagram of routes, expenses on fuel and lubricants only for the first month of use of the FORT system were cut down for 10%. At the enterprise note that drivers understand an innovation and need of system implementation of control which "monitors" each their action.
