2019: Application of ABBYY FlexiCapture at services for individuals

On December 16, 2019 bank VTB announced use of special technology of automatic recognition and input passport data at services for individuals.

The technology allows to combine process of scanning of the document, its automatic recognition and filling of client data in the accounting systems of bank. Thus, holding time of the client managed to be reduced on average by 1.5 minutes. The initiative was developed within carrying out digital transformation of bank and corresponds to the main strategic task – customer focus.

The project on automatic recognition of passports is implemented based on the ABBYY FlexiCapture platform and covers all network of bank which exceeds 1.5 thousand offices.

The automated process of recognition of passport data will allow to avoid errors at data entry manually, to raise a customer loyalty due to improvement of quality and service rate and to optimize bank processes.

2018: ABBYY FlexiCapture application results

VTB shared on April 26, 2018 results of application of the universal ABBYY FlexiCapture platform. According to bank, after implementing solution of ABBYY processing of client documents when opening the account to the legal entity accelerated by 2.5 times. In turn, it allowed bank to service 25% more clients of small business without staff increase of employees.

The ABBYY FlexiCapture platform allows to automatically determine document types, to carry out an inspection of their existence, to take necessary data and to export information to banking systems.

In many banks when opening the account for legal entities more than a half of time is occupied by check and data entry from passports, statements, certificates, statements from the USRLE/Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs, etc. In VTB we solved this problem with the help of technologies of ABBYY which allow employees to classify quickly documents and to take from them necessary data. Including due to intellectual technologies, in three years of VTB is going to save 276 million rubles on document handling — Svetlana Dementieva, the head of department of processing of client data of department of operational support of business of VTB reported.

2013

Project completion in parent organization and branches

The ABBYY company announced on April 22, 2013 readiness for completion of product introduction of ABBYY FlexiCapture in parent organization and a branch network of VTB bank, the final the project of which is planned until the end of October, 2013.

Start of the centers of operational support equipped with ABBYY FlexiCapture

VTB created three center of operational support (COS). Each TsOP represents the center of performing transactions which are performed on the basis of the documents received from the client in sales points of VTB. In such centers the system of the automated data entry and the documents ABBYY FlexiCapture is used. It is supposed that a system will process 36 thousand documents a day.

Thus, there was an opportunity to substantially optimize business processes of bank".

2012

The company implemented more than 30 large projects based on product lines of ABBYY FlexiCapture and ABBYY Recognition Server, at the same time the average size of the transaction increased more than twice, in comparison with 2011. Significant projects in banks, insurance companies, the oil and gas industry and public sector are implemented. Among key customers there is ABBYY: Sberbank, VTB, Probusinessbank, Alfa-Bank, "NOMOS-BANK", Toyota Bank, Yugoriya, Rosgosstrakh, Ingosstrakh, SIBUR-TSOB, IES-Holding, Federal Tax Service, Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and others.
