The company implemented more than 30 large projects based on product lines of ABBYY FlexiCapture and ABBYY Recognition Server, at the same time the average size of the transaction increased more than twice, in comparison with 2011. Significant projects in banks, insurance companies, the oil and gas industry and public sector are implemented. Among key customers there is ABBYY: Sberbank, VTB, Probusinessbank, Alfa-Bank, "NOMOS-BANK", Toyota Bank, Yugoriya, Rosgosstrakh, Ingosstrakh, SIBUR-TSOB, IES-Holding, Federal Tax Service, Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and others.
2013: Development of the project in a partner network
On October 15, 2013 the ABBYY company announced continuation of an implementation project of the solution ABBYY FlexiCapture in a partner network of Alfa-Bank bank.
Project Task
All documents collected at offices of partners were sent to territorial offices of Alfa-Bank in paper form where employees checked their readiness, correctness of a design. At this organization of process all shortcomings of work with paper documents were available: low information exchange rate, high operating costs and labor costs.
Alfa-Bank made the decision on automation and the centralized document handling. For the choice of the suitable IT platform held a competition. Analysts of Alfa-Bank compared all software products presented at the market and selected ABBYY FlexiCapture.
Project Progress
The solution for data entry and electronic document management on the basis of ABBYY FlexiCapture is developed by forces of staff of Alfa-Bank and specialists of ABBYY.
During the project the thin client for scanning of documents – the web application which does not require software installation and can be started on any computer via the browser is created. Settings of scanning can be managed on a centralized basis that allows to receive the scan images of documents of the necessary quality and to reduce costs for administration from bank.
Project Results
Implementation of technical solution of the project increases the processing speed of documents, the quantity of errors in the obtained data is reduced. Performance of transactions due to automation of routine transactions and transition to electronic document management is increased.
2016: Project Development: payment from mobile applications
On June 23, 2016 ABBYY announced implementation of implementation of technologies of optical text recognition, tags and barcodes by means of ABBYY Cloud OCR SDK[1].
Using technologies of ABBYY we as much as possible simplified process of creation of the new payment order for clients of Alfa-Bank, having given to users an opportunity to automatically recognize accounts from files and a photo and to instantly turn them into payment orders for read seconds. Impressions of clients of such service – exceeding expectations, "as if by magic". It is possible to start recognition for the files received on smartphones on different communication channels including popular messengers. Implementation of modern and technological functionality is possible only in cooperation with partners in whom it is possible to be fully confident. As the solution for image understanding cloud tools of ABBYY Cloud OCR SDK developer are selected. Service helps to process any volume of documents without increase in expenses on IT infrastructure. The solution will recognize the text from images in formats: BMP, DjVu, JPEG, PNG, PDF, GIF and others.
By means of ABBYY Cloud OCR SDK the solution which helped to reduce by 3-4 times time for filling of payment details, to reduce almost to zero error probability at data entry is created.
Tools of ABBYY are embedded in the application of Alfa-Bank. Operation algorithm: the file goes to ABBYY Cloud OCR, there is a recognition, then the recognized text from a cloud automatically is transferred to the corresponding fields of the payment order. For the client this process is transparent. He photographs the account or loads the file, and in several seconds sees the filled form on the screen of the mobile device. If the program "doubts" correctness of an account number, that field is selected red and the client needs to check data.
