Raykunov Gennady

Gennady Raykunov held a post of the vice president of JSC United Rocket and Space Corporation (URSC) where he oy supervises questions of scientific projects and programs since September, 2014.

Gennady Raykunov is appointed in February, 2013 to a post of the CEO of Russian Space Systems (RSS) company. Worked in a position until the end of August, 2014.

The previous head of RKS Yury Urlichich wrote the resignation for health reasons at the end of November, 2012. A little earlier, on November 11, he was discharged of project management of GLONASS because of the elicited corruption facts. The investigation found out that during creation of a system 6.5 billion rubles were stolen that makes a third of cost of the orbital GLONASS grouping working now.

Biography

Gennady Raykunov was born on December 3, 1952 in Volgograd. In 1975 graduated from the Volgograd polytechnical institute majoring in "Electrical and mechanical engineer". After the termination of university held different positions in TsNIIMash, since 1993 - the academician of the Russian academy of astronautics of K.E. Tsiolkovsky. In 2001-2008 was the director of Federal State Unitary Enterprise NGO of the Measuring Equipment. Before appointment to the post of the CEO of RKS within five years headed TsNIIMash.
