Akado-Telecom develops ShPD network capacity of 100 Gbps

The companies Infinera also AKADO Telecom announced on March 13, 2013 start of a high-speed optical city network capacity 100 Gbps on the platform Infinera ATN.

Solution basis

AKADO Telecom selected Infinera the supplier in view of the innovative technology implemented in a product and also flexibility, scalability and simplicity of complete solutions for optical networks. Deployment of a city transport network on the basis of architecture of a digital optical network will allow AKADO Telecom to become one of the first Russian operators who implemented technologies of 100 Gbps on the basis of optical switching. The upgraded city network "AKADO" is built using platforms Infinera DTN and Infinera ATN.

In view of high demand on services of broad-band data transmission and the growing interest in services of 100 Gbps from clients, AKADO Telecom was necessary modern DWDM network with the integrated means of OTN switching. The Infinera DTN platform equipped with intellectual control algorithms capacity was selected by the operator with the purpose to provide higher level of efficiency of network, at the same time giving an opportunity to lower operating and capital costs and to achieve the general reduction in cost of ownership.
