Bashinformsvyaz builds an end-to-end system of monitoring of a data network

The Technoserv company completed the first stage of the project on creation of an end-to-end system of monitoring of telecommunication equipment of a data network of Bashinformsvyaz company, the press service of the company reported on March 19, 2013.

Approach

The contractor provided with the first stage of project implementation system deployment of monitoring on a core of a transport network of IP/MPLS of the customer that provides control over faults, performance and availability of network resources, monitoring of quality of key customer services.

The complex of works is executed, beginning from inspection of automation objects and design and finishing with delivery of licenses, direct implementation of a hardware and software system of a monitoring system on the EMC Smarts and EMC Watch4net platform.

As of March 19, 2013 a system controls a status more than 800 units of network equipment, in real time obtaining data on all problems arising at the physical and logic level of IP/MPLS network. Distinctive feature of the implemented solution - a possibility of evident graphical representation of network topology in different cuts: platforms and physical connections, Ethernet-connections, topological schemes of work of the dynamic routing protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, the topological MPLS cards (connections between P and PE routers, LSP), the L2/L3 MPLS VPN display, etc.

The management system for performance of EMC Watch4net implemented within the first stage of the project became a point of collecting and information analysis about technology aspects of network functioning. Based on this product the control system of customer services is unrolled.

"The purpose of implementation of a single system of monitoring instead of separate solutions is increase in controllability and reliability of network functioning of the company at decrease in operating costs. Already at the first stage we noticed significant high-quality changes: time of response to incidents was many times reduced. Thereby the base for ensuring quality of the provided services to the existing standards of the market is prepared, – Ilgiz Kalmetyev, the director of the Center of technical operation of JSC Bashinformsvyaz noted. – Works Technoserv company were performed qualitatively, in time and in full accordance with technical specifications and therefore the integrator was selected by the supplier and the contractor of the next stages of this project".

Objectives

Creation of two subsystems will become the next stages of the project on creation of an end-to-end system of monitoring of all technology equipment of a data network of Bashinformsvyaz company: monitoring of the equipment of data center and equipment of an access network.

Considerable experiment of Technoserv on project implementation based on different vendor solutions, understanding of industry specifics and knowledge of current technology trends allows to propose to our customers the most optimal solutions".
