The Business Logic 2.0 company completed the project on upgrade of an electronic data archive of Alfa-Bank, the press service of integrator reported on March 22, 2013.

The electronic archive which is available for the beginning of the project in Alfa-Bank was created on ECM- the platform IBM Content Manager Standart Edition and required broader functionality and also higher level of scalability, reliability, performance and integration with other corporate IT systems. For the solution of this task the project on migration of electronic archive on the new hardware-software platform and to expansion of functionality of a system taking into account requirements of business divisions and forecasts of development of Alfa-Bank was implemented.
The contractor in the project selects Business Logic 2.0 company.
Solution
The architecture of the proposed solution includes several subsystems:
- the subsystem of storage of electronic documents (SSED) which provides the centralized structured storage of electronic copies of the documents and the attributive information corresponding to them and also business process automation connected with storage and management of electronic documents in archive;
- the subsystem of client connections (SCC) which functionality allows to import new electronic copies of documents, to add a card of documents, to change their status according to the rights and roles in electronic archive, to display a hierarchical structure of documents, to conduct full-text search for electronic copies of documents;
- the subsystem integration component (SIC) which is responsible for transfer of electronic copies of documents and their attributive metainformation from corporate IT systems in archive.
As the ECM platform for the upgraded electronic archive IBM Content Manager Enterprise Edition also the functionality allowing to expand in full accordance with requirements of the customer is selected as the closest to the former platform. All other components of electronic archive too are developed by IBM: server hardware (pSeries), storage systems (StoreWize v7000), tape library, operating systems (AIX), backup system (Tivoli Storage Manager), DBMS (DB2) and application servers (WebSphere).
Improvements
The used data model is improved therefore work of users in a system became easier and they had new opportunities: hierarchical display of documents, full-text search, reference books and version control of documents, etc. The model of security and audit of a system is improved.
Important stage of the project - work on migration in the new archive system of data bulks, to collecting of statistics and creation of the corresponding counting. Special utilities of migration and also instruments of collecting of statistics and check of correctness of data transfer were for this purpose developed. Migration of the saved-up document file, and is about 20 million documents, was made in short terms, and the vast majority of documents was transferred in the automatic mode.
