Pantum is an international company from China that has been developing, manufacturing and selling MFP printing equipment, as well as consumables, refueling kits, electronic components and components since 2010.

As of September 2018, the company's products are available in China, Russia and the CIS countries, Europe, Africa and America.

Business in Kazakhstan

In March 2013, Pantum, and Merlion, the largest Russian IT distributor, announced the signing of an agreement under which Merlion receives the status of "Official Pantum Distributor" in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Almaty branch of the largest Russian IT distributor begins to carry out direct deliveries of Pantum printing equipment to the local market. The agreement has already entered into force and applies to the entire product portfolio of the vendor. Kazakhstan's Merlion partners now have access to Pantum consumables and laser printers for home and office. Thus, Merlion became Pantum's first and only distributor in Kazakhstan to date.

2022: Chinese company tops Russian printer market for first time

According to the results of the third quarter of 2022, the volume of the Russian market for printing devices amounted to almost 300 thousand units, which corresponds to a "double-digit" drop relative to the same period in 2021. 2018: Launch of a project to localize the production of printers in Russia

Pantum, a Chinese manufacturer of printing equipment, has launched a project to produce Pantum brand equipment in the Russian Federation. The partner from the Russian side is the company "Aquarius," at the production facilities of which the production of Pantum products is organized. The exclusive distributor is OCS, according to Aquarius on September 3, 2018.

Pantum equipment has been supplied to Russia using a 2-level distribution model for several years, and the manufacturer had the opportunity to make sure in practice that there is a demand for its devices. At the same time, many years of experience with OCS and Pantum have shown that the market's need for high-quality but affordable printing equipment has only increased in recent years.

The production of Pantum printers localized in Russia is not just intended to satisfy this need in quantitative terms. With the approach of production to the customer, a number of new opportunities open up: this is a reduction in logistics costs, and the ability to more flexibly manage the range of products, promptly responding to current market demands, and even the ability to quickly make changes to the configuration of models for the needs of the customer.

The Pantum localization project was launched at the Aquarius plant. Pantum products have been distributed by OCS, Pantum's exclusive distributor in Russia since 2017. The OCS product portfolio for September 2018 includes the entire range of the vendor: printers, MFPs, spare parts for printing devices, photobarabans, toner cartridges, as well as original kits for refilling cartridges. The products are available in all 27 OCS cities of presence.

2013: Opening of a regional office in Moscow

On May 20, 2013, Pantum announced the opening of a regional office of Pantum International in Russia and the CIS countries (RUCIS) in Moscow and the appointment of Victor Zhang as its head. In this position, Victor will be responsible for strategic planning and sales management in the region, improving the operational efficiency of the company, as well as developing the direction of working with partners and customers.
