The All-Russian research geological institute of A.P. Karpinsky summed up the results of an open request of price quotations electronically on delivery of a complex of planetary scanning. According to the results of consideration of the offer by equipment supplier the Prosoft-PK LLC company (ELAR corporation) was selected.
The ELAR planetary scanner Planskan A2VTS.V is intended for scanning of the stitched documents, including with a dense back. The scanner has function of alignment of lines in the field of a back which allows to receive pictures without distortion of quality and additional manual image processing. The equipment will be used for digitization of unique books on geology from higher education institution fund.
The All-Russian research geological institute of A.P. Karpinsky is a successor of Geological committee (Geolkom), the first public geological institution of Russia. The main task of activity of institute – a systematic research of a geological structure of Russia, drawing up and the edition of the detailed geological map of the state.
