The Caspian Pipeline Consortium optimizes network and strengthens control over users

The NetWrix company completed the project on optimization of IT infrastructure of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) using NetWrix Change Reporter Suite, reported the press services of the company on April 16, 2013.

Background

In process of development of KTK the need for automatic change tracking for IT infrastructure and optimization of the existing infrastructure and gain of control over actions of privileged users appeared.

"Due to the existence in staff of KTK of a large number of the employees having administrative powers need for safety of information and control over any changes happening in a system increases. So, for example, the server of e-mail MS Exchange Server stores the settings in the Active Directory and any their changes from administrators and users can influence its work. Therefore we needed to find the software solution which would allow to monitor automatically any changes of objects on mail servers and to create reports on each of them", - Ilya Starkov, the IT manager of KTK noted.

Installation

Implementing solution took place remotely that is caused by geography of activity of KTK. At the first stage, specialists of IT department by own efforts performed primary program installation. Further, online technical support specialists of NetWrix configured a product and installed add-on modules, completely adapting the solution to the available IT infrastructure.

Result

Deployment of NetWrix Change Reporter Suite provided the distributed administration and the centralized control of changes in IT infrastructure, thereby reducing load of employees of IT department, and increasing security of information environment.
