The INFROMSVYAZ HOLDING company completed the project of creation of fire safety system in Indoor skating center ("Adler the Arena") - the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee on preparation and holding the XXII Olympic winter Games 2014, the company reported on April 19, 2013.
Base
The construction of indoor skating center "Adler the Arena" is completed at the end of 2012. The total cost of the project was more than $32 million. The skating center "Adler Arena" is intended for speed skating competitions and should become one of the main infrastructure facilities of the 2014 Winter Olympics of in Sochi. Height of the building of 24.7 m, building length – 274 m that is equal to length of 3 football fields. After the termination Olympic Games the Adler Arena center will be converted in the largest exhibition center in the south of Russia.
Goal
Basic purpose of a system - the general control of fire safety of the building, automatic detection and liquidation of the centers of ignition, management of the engineering systems at the fire and also ensuring evacuation of people in case of large ignitions. The total area of the premises controlled by a system exceeds 40 thousand sq.m.
Implementation
Control of fire safety of KKTs is exercised at the expense of the integrated infrastructure of monitoring including more than 2000 smoke and temperature sensors. Information from sensors is in real time transferred to a uniform round-the-clock dispatcher station that allows to react quickly in cases of emergence of crisis situations. The problem of localization and suppression of the possible fires is solved due to the system of the automatic installations of gas and water fire extinguishing set on all area of the skating center. Similar installations are capable to fight effectively fire and to liquidate the ignition center even before arrival of firefighters.
The warning system and managements of evacuation (SOUE) includes more than 750 loudspeakers. Total power of amplifiers in a system is 16 kW that allows to inform on emergence of the fire and to coordinate process of evacuation of people in all territory of a sports complex. SOUE provides automatic transfer of previously written disturbing messages in case of the fire and other emergencies and also transfer of operational voice messages from a post of the manager. The warning system is equipped with special technology of sound amplification of Sennheiser allowing to provide finishing audioinformation even for hearing-impaired people.
As a hardware platform of fire safety system "Adler the Arena" the equipment of Siemens, Honeywell (ESSER) and Bosch was used.
The addition to the project - management
The contractor completed the project on system implementation of management of utilities of the skating center "Adler Arena", the press service of the company reported on May 23, 2013.
Problems of a system: uniform remote control and scheduling of seven engineering systems of a complex — ventilation, conditioning, heating, cooling, fire protection, power supply and lighting. The management system for utilities provides a possibility of operational obtaining information on shared state and technical operation parameters of the equipment of the engineering systems and its transfer on a uniform dispatcher station.
Equipment
Four automated workplaces and the server for reservation of data by means of which recording and registration of both operations of managers, and the arriving data of work of the engineering systems, including cases of accidents and technical failures for the subsequent analysis is conducted enter a complex of an object dispatcher station.

- the automated jobs of managers;
- complex of the guaranteed failsafe power supply;
- technology infrastructure of data transmission;
- sensors and controllers.
As software environment for creation of the software of control of sensors and controllers the CitectSCADA system of Schneider Electric company was used.
