CitectSCADA

This system is intended for management of technology processes. CitectSCADA is the main product of Citect company.

SCADA-система CitectSCADA was projected and developed as an implementer of all requirements of the enterprise in the form of the single integrated system. CitectSCADA contains all necessary components eliminating both need of use of the additional software, and fragmentation of data.

CitectSCADA is the software product representing a full-function monitoring system, management and data collection (SCADA – Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) which allows to provide:

• Visualization of process in a graphics mode;

• Tracking of trends in real time and access to archive trends;
• Preparation of itemized statements;

CitectSCADA v7.2

Features of the new version of CitectSCADA v7.2:

• Ensuring maximum speed of reaction to external influences.
• Providing the graphical interface providing to users the broad picture of data in real time.
• Process optimization of application development due to access to templates of pages through a panel with tabs, inclusion of new templates for modern LCD displays and other opportunities.
• Ensuring reliability of a system at the expense of a possibility of restart of separate components of a system that allows to add and delete alarms, trends and reports without stopping of all system.
• Guarantee of safety of copyright of the installation rights developed on the basis of providing only environments of execution of a CitectSCADA-application.
• Support of modern software and hardware tools, such as Windows 7, camera Pelco, drivers of OFCOPC, multimonitor systems.

CitectSCADA 7.30

Upgraded version reduces the general time of configuring and implements more effective methods of access and management of technology data with the purpose of the quickest and faultless response to emergency situations.

The main improvements in CitectSCADA 7.30 are connected with emergence of templates of the equipment and hierarchy of the equipment.

Use of templates of the equipment (Equipment Templates) simplifies and standardizes a configuration of the system-wide equipment. Each type of the equipment is enough to be configured only once that then to apply repeatedly. Such approach reduces development time, provides compatibility and uniformity in one or several projects.

Development using hierarchy of the equipment (Equipment Hierarchy) allows to pass from the system based on tags of variables to the modern object focused system. It gives the chance to review the principle of work of SCADA and to create a system which is simpler for configuring and servicing, but at the same time having bigger functionality. Besides, the hierarchy of the equipment is especially convenient for viewing, sorting and filtering of lists of tags. So, the user can request and display tags on qualitative characters of the detailed data, for example on permission of manual rewriting or prohibition of management of the tag.

Significant improvements in CitectSCADA 7.30 concerned also management of alarm signals. Now among the updated functions – fast filtering and sorting of alarm signals and also adding of the sequence of events which not only save all data on abnormal events but also include actions of the operator. All this creates a basis for the reliable centralized registration of events in a system and provides quick response to non-staff situations.

Other important innovations include additional opportunities on compatibility with open interfaces, controls in libraries (tree structures, tables, scroll bars), easy integration with CitectHistorian, inclusion of a time stamp of data directly from a source when using the Schneider Electric OPC server.

CitectSCADA 7.30 also expands a portfolio of offers of Schneider Electric in the field of control and accounting of energy consumption thanks to the new scheduler (Scheduler) which is included in a basic equipment of software, and the additional option +PowerConnect. Use of these tools helps to reach an optimal operation mode of the equipment at smaller energy consumption.

CitectSCADA 7.40

Upgraded version reduces the general time of configuring and implements more effective methods of access and management of technology data with the purpose of the quickest and faultless response to emergency situations. The main improvements in CitectSCADA 7.40:

• More modern and convenient template with support of large-format permissions 16:9 (1366 x 768 (Laptop), 1920 x 1080 (Desktop)).
• The new Equipment Editor tool intended for work with the equipment and templates of the equipment.
• Possibility of a binding to the equipment of graphics and scripts as a result of transition to the objekto-focused project development.
• Quick access to information on emergence of updates for products through new specialized service.
• Support of Windows 8/Server 2012.
• Support of work of the program license on virtual machines.
• The updated superstructure for Excel 2013 Project DBF add-in supports Microsoft Office 2013 now.
• Possibility of use of the second scale in Process Analyst.

2015: There was a release of CitectSCADA 2015 (7.50)

On July 23, 2015 the Schneider Electric company announced an exit of a software version of supervisory control by modern automated systems – CitectSCADA 2015.

In the course of upgrade of a system the vendor delayed focus on system architecture of alarms and opportunities of its updating. As a result it was succeeded to reach 2-fold increase in productivity in comparison with the previous versions. Became possible offline - updating, starting with the version of CitectSCADA v5.21 to CitectSCADA 2015 (excepting history of alarms).

The main improvements in CitectSCADA 2015:

• the improved performance and functionality of a system of alarms;
• the interface with external .NET-assemblies through Cicode by means of what it is simpler to expand functionality of a system;
• the partial associations allowing to configure and support quickly supergenies and pop-up pages with dynamic associations through dynamic creation at the runtime the project;
• more effective management of backup copies of projects, thanks to backup of all project together with the included projects in one backup file and also recovery from it all projects or only selected;
• fall forward of development of graphics, thanks to the integrated graphics of the equipment allowing simply to insert equipment copies directly on graphic pages;
• native possibility of start of Vijeo Citect as Windows services, allowing to start systems on the servers working without participation of service staff.
