Pecheny Vladimir Petrovich is the former governor of the Magadan region. Former mayor of Magadan. Member of General Council of a batch United Russia.

Biography

Was born on June 20, 1949 in the city of Chernivtsi, Ukraine.

Education

1974 - graduated from philological faculty of Chernivtsi state University (now - Chernivtsi National University of name Yu. Fedkovich).

Career

1969 - the literary employee in Ryadyanske Zhittya newspaper editorial office in the city of Kitsman of the Chernivtsi region.

Worked as the associate director of regional philharmonic hall, then the associate director by a teaching and educational part of technical training college.

1978 - - worked with 1984 at New and Ustyinsky high school of Khabarovsk Krai where taught literature and Russian and also at the same time fulfilling duties of the associate director.

Headed boarding school in the settlement of Okhotsk.

1984 - 1990 - the associate director of high school, the inspector and the assistant manager city department of national education in Magadan.

April, 1990 - is claimed by the Magadan city council of People's Deputies the vice-chairman of the Magadan Executive Committee of the City Soviet of People's Deputies.

1993 - the deputy head of administration of the city of Magadan.

1997 - the first deputy mayor of Magadan.

October, 2004 - the mayor of Magadan.

October, 2004 - is elected by the mayor of Magadan for the second term.

May, 2012 - is elected as a member of General Council of the United Russia Party^[1].

2013: Governor of the Magadan region

On February 3, 2013 - the president Russia Vladimir Putin appointed Vladimir Pecheny to the position of the acting as the governor of the Magadan region^[2].

From September 8, 2013 to May 28, 2018 held a post of the governor of the Magadan region. It is dismissed the governor ahead of schedule at own will.

2020: Consolidated grain company

For April, 2020 - the deputy CEO for government relations of the Consolidated Management of OZK grain company^[3].

Public activity

October, 2009 - participated in a ceremony of rewarding of prize-winners of the All-Russian tender on a rank "The Most Well-planned City of Russia". Rewarding took place in Moscow, in the main building of the All-Russian showroom. To it awarded the certificate and a special prize of the All-Russian tender on a rank "The Most Well-planned City of Russia"^[4].

October, 2011 - took part in work of a discussion platform of All-Russia People's Front^[5].

February, 2012 - took part in work of certifying commission of "The Magadan institute of economy"^[6].

June, 2012 - participated in the opening ceremony in the regional center of OTP branch^[7].

November, 2012 - participated in the festive event devoted to closing of coal navigation "Northern delivery - 2012" which passed onboard the Gold Kolyma ship^[8].

November, 2012 - attended "A job fair, professions and educational places". This action annually takes place in "The municipal center of culture" at the initiative of the city authorities and regional "Jobcenter of the population of the city of Magadan"^[9].

On February 15-17, 2013 - took part in work of the youth forum "Perspective of 2013" which took place in the settlement the Snow Valley. The forum purpose - development and supports of citizens' initiatives of student's youth, personnel preparation of an asset of self-government institutions and youth public associations. Participated as the expert in a discussion^[10].

On March 26, 2013 - in the World day of fight against tuberculosis Vladimir Pecheny visited the Magadan regional antitubercular clinic No. 2 in the settlement of Debin. Visited health facilities of the Yagodninsky Region of Kolyma during the working business trip^[11].

March, 2013 - accepted participants of the Russian mountain club "Mayneks" which for the first time took place in Magadan and met being kolymchaniny, the astronaut Pavel Vinogradov to whom handed the decision on assignment of a rank of the honourable citizen of the Magadan region. Besides, regional council of United Russia included Pecheny in the list of candidates for a straw vote and the subsequent promotion to a position of the governor of the Magadan region^[12].

On April 11, 2013 - met an asset of association of indigenous people of the North of the region. Vladimir Pecheny noted need of further development of interaction of the power and public associations of indigenous ethnic groups^[13].

April, 2013 - participated in a city meeting of Magadan. On a traditional action works in 2012 summed up the results and designated the main directions of development in 2013^[14].
