Baltkam (Columbus WMS is the solution for the distribution center)

The distributor Baltkam together with consulting company Columbus starts implementing solution for the distribution center of Columbus WMS, the press service of vendor reported on April 22, 2013.

For storage of products at the customer shelf and frontal racks are used, street placement of goods is provided. The speed and workmanship of many warehouse transactions are strongly influenced by a human factor, it leads to emergence of errors and regrading.

Purposes and parallels

The distribution center Baltkam daily processes from 1000 to 1500 orders.

The project of deployment of the WMS solution begun by partners is implemented along with reforming of the ERP system of the customer.

Within [[Columbus WMS implementation the management Baltkam sets as the purpose automation of key fields of warehouse logistics: acceptance and placement of goods, processing of returns, replenishment, movements in the storage area, selection and a complete set of orders in sets, inventory, shipment of products to retail stores.

A system is designed to ensure the coordinated work of personnel and a qualitative complete set of client orders, to increase capacity of the distribution center Baltkam and to accelerate process of its inventory. Regarding management of transport logistics of the project integration of the WMS solution with means of GPS navigation is provided.
