The Softline integrator starts implementation of Microsoft Lync Server 2013 in the Union S.A. Holding, the press service of the company reported on May 14, 2013.

The Softline company carried out pilot implementation of the latest Microsoft Lync Server 2013 software product at the central office the Union of Holding S.A.

The territorial dispersion of the companies and growth of number of employees the Union resulted S.A. Holding in need of upgrade of infrastructure and implementation of modern IT solutions. Long collective approvals in the organization by e-mail, communication "blindly" by phone, holding of conferences with compulsory personal attendance of responsibles provoked lengthening of a cycle of works and additional expenses to business trips.

Technologies of Microsoft are the cornerstone of infrastructure of holding and the Lync software product binding separate communications of the company on a single platform became the natural choice.

Specialists of department of solutions of Microsoft of Softlinerazvernuli company at the central office of Holding a pilot project on the Lync Server 2013 platform in edition Standard, integrated it with already available email application based on Microsoft Exchange and also combined roles of Front End and A/V for a possibility of carrying out audio/video conferences.

Alexey Somov, the head of department of infrastructure projects of department of solutions of Microsoft of Softline company, emphasized: "In a project deliverable the customer received a single communication framework of the corporate level based on Microsoft Lync, including all additional benefits of the new version: more user-friendly interface, new features of video and a possibility of meetings, the simplified mobile access and many other things. The project in the Union of Holding S.A. – one of the first implementations of Lync 2013 by our division. Main advantages for us as integrator consist that in the new version mechanisms of fault tolerance of a system are expanded, there was a possibility of mirroring of the database at the level of topology and also reservations at the level of a pool for ensuring disaster recovery of a system".
